Artist United Changes Name to 'Artist Company'... "Strengthening Entertainment Company Identity"
Artist United, a leading comprehensive entertainment company in Korea, announced on the 28th that it has officially changed its name to Artist Company through its regular general shareholders' meeting. This move aims to strengthen its content-centered brand identity and accelerate its entry into the global market.
The name change is more than a simple rebranding. It reflects the company's determination to fundamentally transform its corporate identity and business direction based on the accumulated brand trust and business expertise across the entertainment industry.
Since its establishment in 2010, Artist Company has provided business-to-business (B2B) platform services based on big data and artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Following a change in its largest shareholder at the end of 2023, the company declared its full-scale entry into the content industry. Accordingly, last year it added content production and distribution as new business sectors and accelerated its transition into the entertainment field by acquiring Artist Studio (formerly RaemongRaein), a content production company.
Currently, the company is developing specialized platforms in commerce, marketing, online advertising, and entertainment sectors based on the AI search engine application programming interface (API) of Purplecity. Additionally, it is securing differentiated market competitiveness through a global strategy that combines commerce business expansion utilizing actor intellectual property (IP) and content production capabilities.
Thus, the name change to Artist Company is expected to serve as an important opportunity to clarify the corporate identity while presenting new growth drivers to investors. In particular, market forecasts suggest that continued performance improvements driven by the expansion of the content business could positively influence future stock price trends.
