Pocheon-si, Yeongbuk-myeon 'Uncheon 5 District' Cadastral Resurvey Project Completed
Pocheon City Strengthens Protection of Property Rights
Through Digital Cadastral Survey
Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 28th that it had completed the cadastral resurvey project for ‘Uncheon 5 District’ in Yeongbuk-myeon on the 27th.
The cadastral resurvey project is a national project that corrects the registration details in the cadastral register that do not match the actual land use status and converts paper cadastral maps into digital cadastral maps, protecting landowners' property rights and efficiently managing the national land.
The city conducted the cadastral resurvey project for ‘Uncheon 5 District’ with a national budget of 108.55 million KRW. It corrected the boundaries of a total of 576 parcels (area 233,184.6㎡) and created new digital cadastral registers.
Uncheon 5 District is an area densely populated with houses and commercial buildings, where serious cadastral discrepancies occurred due to unauthorized occupation of state-owned land and building boundary infringements caused by indiscriminate construction activities.
After establishing the implementation plan on October 31, 2023, Pocheon City designated the project district with the consent of more than two-thirds of the landowners, and completed the project through administrative procedures such as boundary adjustment consultations, resolutions by the Boundary Determination Committee, and objection filings.
As a result of this project, boundary disputes were resolved, boundaries of unauthorized occupied land and infringing land were adjusted to reflect reality, and the land use value was greatly improved.
Based on the new cadastral registers, the city plans to organize related registers such as certified copies of the register and land use planning maps, and for parcels with area increases or decreases, it will conduct appraisals and pay or collect adjustment fees from landowners.
