View original imageThe Daejeon City Council announced that it held the 3rd plenary session of the 285th extraordinary meeting on the 28th, during which it handled 39 agenda items before closing.
At the plenary session, 27 ordinance bills including the 'Daejeon City Energy Welfare Ordinance Bill,' 6 consent bills such as the '2025 2nd Amendment to the Shared Property Management Plan (Purchase and Utilization of Wonjeong Station),' and 2 opinion hearing items including the '2035 Daejeon Urban Regeneration Strategy Plan Amendment (Draft)' were addressed.
Additionally, the council passed the 'Proposal to Introduce the On-site Practical Certification System to Strengthen the Professionalism of Beauty Industry Workers,' proposed by Park Juhwa, and the 'Proposal to Amend the Three Laws on Integrated Early Childhood Education and Care for Quality Education and Care Environments,' proposed by Lee Hanyeong.
Through the 'Resolution to Establish a Special Committee on Daejeon-Chungnam Administrative Integration,' proposed by Lee Jaekyung, a total of five council members?Jeong Myeongguk, Lee Jaekyung, Lee Hanyeong, Lee Geumseon, and Lee Sangrae?were appointed as committee members. The special committee will play a role in building consensus on administrative integration to enhance regional competitiveness and in preparing policy alternatives.
During the five-minute free speech session, Ahn Gyeongja proposed 'Regional Response Measures to Tariff Policies of the Second Trump Administration,' Kim Minsuk suggested 'Improvement of Management Practices for Subway Station Fire Evacuation Supplies,' and Kim Seonggwang proposed 'Development of Utilization Plans for Smart Snow Removal Equipment.'
Kim Youngsam, the vice chairman who presided over the meeting, emphasized, "With the recent dry weather increasing the risk of wildfires, thorough preventive measures are necessary," and added, "Relevant agencies must establish fire prevention measures and do their utmost to build a safety net for citizens."
