Daejeon TP Supports 8 Promising Companies Entering North American Market
Applications accepted until April 7
KRW 12.35 million support per company
Daejeon Technopark announced on the 27th that it is recruiting companies to participate in a program supporting promising companies' entry into the North American market (Seattle) until April 7.
This program, being implemented for the first time this year, consists of a pre-bootcamp and a local program, supporting eight companies with funding of 12.35 million KRW per company.
The pre-bootcamp will be held in May and will provide basic education on the North American market and deep tech industry sectors, advanced pitch deck and pitching preparation, and mock IR pitching days to help companies prepare for real-world situations.
The local program, which will take place in June after the bootcamp, will be held in Seattle, Washington, USA, and will help companies enter the market effectively through business partner meetings, local IR pitching, and visits to global companies.
Daejeon TP plans to continue supporting Daejeon companies from their initial entry to settlement, starting with this program, including technology verification support and entry into KSC Seattle.
Eligible applicants are companies in Daejeon related to core industries with less than seven years of business history. For small and medium-sized enterprises in new industries such as artificial intelligence, companies with up to ten years of business history may apply. As the program is centered around local business partner meetings without separate interpretation, participants must be able to communicate fluently in English.
Online applications can be submitted through the Daejeon Company Information Portal. After eligibility screening and document and presentation evaluations, eight companies will be finally selected.
Kim Wooyeon, President of Daejeon TP, said, "This program is an important starting point for Daejeon's promising companies to enter the North American market," adding, "We will spare no effort to support companies from the early stages so they can successfully settle in the North American market."
