View original imageGokseong County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Cho Sangrae), announced on the 27th that it conducted a human rights education session for over 100 employees of elderly welfare facilities and long-term care institutions at the Gokseong County Community Hall on the 25th.
This training was conducted by a professional instructor from the Jeollanam-do Eastern Senior Protection Agency, focusing on understanding and protecting the human rights of the elderly. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the importance of preventing elder abuse and practical measures to protect human rights, based on real-life cases of human rights violations that may occur within facilities.
Governor Cho Sangrae stated, "I hope this training has helped raise awareness about the human rights of the elderly, and I expect employees of elderly welfare facilities and long-term care institutions to make greater efforts to protect these rights. We will continue to strive to create a comfortable and stable environment for seniors in the future."
Meanwhile, Gokseong County is working to provide safe and high-quality senior welfare services by regularly conducting elder abuse prevention training and campaigns in cooperation with specialized elderly welfare agencies.
