IBK Savings Bank Appoints Jeon Byeongseong, Former Deputy CEO of Industrial Bank of Korea, as New CEO

Jeon Byeong-seong, former Deputy Head of the Digital Group at IBK Industrial Bank, has been appointed as the new CEO of IBK Savings Bank.
IBK Savings Bank announced on the 27th that Jeon was appointed as the new CEO through the Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee, the General Meeting of Shareholders, and the Board of Directors.
The new CEO Jeon was born in 1965 and graduated from Uljin High School in Gyeongbuk and the Department of English Literature at Yeungnam University.
After joining Industrial Bank of Korea in 1991, he served as Head of Human Resources, Head of the Southern Regional Headquarters, Head of the Gyeongdong and Gangwon Regional Headquarters, Deputy Head of the Digital Group, and Compliance Officer. He is regarded as an expert with extensive experience and knowledge in finance, management, and digital fields.
The IBK Savings Bank Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee stated, "With his diverse experience at Industrial Bank of Korea and top-level expertise, he understands the vision and strategy of the IBK Financial Group better than anyone else," adding, "He is the right person to present a management direction that strengthens the competitiveness of the savings bank and expands the fundamental role of a financial institution serving ordinary citizens."

In his inaugural speech, the new CEO Jeon emphasized creating a sound and balanced savings bank.
