At the 'International Food and Beverage Exhibition' held in Chengdu, China starting from the 25th, public officials including Hampyeong County Governor Lee Sangik actively promoted the excellence of Hampyeong's agricultural specialties and worked to sign export agreements with overseas buyers.
Governor Lee personally exhibited and promoted Hampyeong's specialty products at the exhibition, introducing their competitiveness to international buyers. He also focused on establishing export strategies in line with global trends by experiencing firsthand the flow of the global agricultural and food market.
On the 26th, at the Korea Pavilion within the exhibition hall, Governor Lee met with Yeom Wonjae, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Chengdu, Jeon Junghwa, Executive Auditor of Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), and Byun Yongseop, Head of KOTRA Chengdu Trade Center, to discuss ways to vitalize international trade and cultural exchange of agricultural specialties between Hampyeong County and Chengdu.
In addition, on the 27th, Governor Lee is scheduled to attend an exchange event held in Pidu District, Chengdu, to further strengthen the friendly cooperative relationship between Hampyeong County and Chengdu.
Governor Lee Sangik said, "We participated in this exhibition to pioneer new export channels and advance Hampyeong's agricultural specialties into the global market," adding, "Through this exhibition, we aim to seek future alternatives for Hampyeong's agriculture."
