Full-Scale Support for Small Businesses Entering Online Markets
Pohang City signed a business agreement on the 26th with Sodam Square Daegu, which is managed by Daegu MBC, to promote the digital commerce sector and expand online sales channels for outstanding local agricultural and specialty products as well as small businesses.

Sodam Square Daegu is a specialized digital commerce support institution operated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency. It provides a variety of programs such as content production, education and consulting, live commerce, and online exhibitions. As a regional specialized project, it actively supports small businesses' entry into the online market through the production of 'Song Sangongin' and 'Moving Pictures'.
Through this agreement, the city plans to promote Yeongilman Chingu, the joint brand for Pohang's agricultural and specialty products, and continue providing various support, focusing on small business producers and processing companies designated under Yeongilman Chingu.
Additionally, with creator training programs, home shopping sales support, live commerce, YouTube, and other online market development projects, the partnership with Sodam Square Daegu is expected to accelerate the expansion of online sales channels such as Pohang Market, major distribution platforms, and overseas markets.
Lee Hyunju, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, stated, "This agreement will provide practical support to help local small business owners successfully enter the online market, which is expected to expand online sales channels and promotional effects for the region's outstanding agricultural and specialty products. We will continue to develop support measures to strengthen the economic power and increase the income of small business owners."
