Goheung County Launches Premium 'Goheung Yuja Ade' at Convenience Stores
"Using Goheung Yuja as an Ingredient...
Contributing to Increased Income for Local Farmers"
Goheung County in Jeonnam Province (Governor: Gong Youngmin) announced that it will launch a convenience store beverage product, "Goheung Yuja Ade," made with Goheung yuja, in collaboration with 7-Eleven and the Rural Development Administration on the 26th.
This newly introduced beverage is developed using premium Goheung yuja to match recent trends. It will be available for purchase at 7-Eleven convenience stores at a price of 1,500 KRW (320ml).
Goheung County is a region known for producing high-quality agricultural products due to its abundant sunlight and mild temperatures. In particular, Goheung yuja, grown in a pristine natural environment and exposed to sea breezes, is characterized by its high sugar content and a refreshing yet sweet flavor.
Goheung yuja is rich in vitamins A and C, as well as citric acid, making it effective for preventing colds and helping to reduce inflammation and alleviate symptoms. It is also abundant in vitamin B, folic acid, and calcium, which help prevent anemia and osteoporosis and support bone formation in growing children.
An official from the Goheung County Agricultural Technology Center stated, "We expect that the yuja beverage product launched in cooperation with 7-Eleven will receive a positive response from consumers, contributing to expanding sales channels and increasing income for local farmers. Moving forward, we plan to continue launching a variety of new products using domestic agricultural products through ongoing win-win cooperation among institutions, companies, and farmers."
