IU Donates a Total of 200 Million Won to Support Wildfire Victims and Firefighters
The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Song Pil-ho) announced on the 26th that singer and actress IU (Lee Ji-eun) donated 100 million KRW each, totaling 200 million KRW, to support wildfire damage relief and to improve the treatment and awareness of firefighters dedicated to disaster sites.
IU stated, "I hope this will be a small help to those affected, and I express my deep condolences to the victims," adding, "I sincerely hope the wildfire will be extinguished quickly without further loss of life." She also added, "I deeply appreciate the dedication of the firefighters who are working hard to extinguish the fire."
IU has previously participated in donations during various disasters, such as helping neighbors affected by floods in 2020 and the East Coast wildfires in 2022, demonstrating her positive influence.
