Jeollanamdo Governor Kim Youngrok is meeting with National Assembly Vice Speaker Lee Hakyoung at the National Assembly in Seoul on the 26th to request cooperation at the National Assembly level, including proposals to strengthen the Honam region megacity economic alliance and resolve current provincial issues. Governor Kim explained the significance and necessity of the economic alliance, including the national grand innovation based on ultra-wide area cooperation in the Honam region, in relation to the "Honam Mega City Economic Alliance" business agreement signed in Naju on the 23rd, and discussed support for key projects such as attracting the 2036 Jeonju Summer Olympics.
He also proposed that the government actively support the successful implementation of the world's largest "Solaseado AI Supercluster Hub Project" and the prompt expansion of the power grid.
On the 25th, as part of the Honam Economic Alliance, Governor Kim Young-rok attended the proclamation ceremony for "2025 Gwangju Visit Year" held at Seoul Station and agreed to join forces to ensure the successful promotion of the Gwangju Visit Year.
