Wicomet to Exclusively Distribute Stryker's New AED 'Lifepak CR2' in Korea
Enhanced Real-Time ECG Analysis and Faster Shock Delivery to Improve Survival Rates
Wicomet, a healthcare solution operator specializing in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), announced on the 26th that it will exclusively sell the new automatic external defibrillator (AED) product ‘Lifepak CR2’ from the global medical technology company Stryker in the domestic public sector and support AED and CPR training services.
Wicomet, the official sales agent of Stryker in Korea, will supply the newly launched premium AED Lifepak CR2 to domestic public health medical institutions including emergency medical centers, public institutions, and businesses such as apartment complexes.
The technology equipped in the Lifepak CR2 features real-time electrocardiogram analysis during CPR to automatically determine the need for a shock without medical personnel intervention. This reduces the interruption time between CPR and defibrillation by up to 14 seconds, increasing the patient’s survival probability by more than three times. Additionally, it minimizes CPR interruption time to continuously maintain blood circulation, thereby improving survival rates. Furthermore, by applying QuickStep electrode pads, the initial shock delivery time is up to 35 seconds faster compared to other AEDs on the market.
