Since the inauguration of County Governor Jang Seil, Yeonggwang County has set the county administration goal as "Yeonggwang created together, benefits shared by all residents," confirming 50 pledges in five major areas: ▲Local Economy (8 projects) ▲Resident Welfare (21 projects) ▲Agriculture, Fisheries, and Rural Areas (9 projects) ▲Culture and Tourism (6 projects) ▲Empathetic Administration (6 projects). The county checks the progress of these projects on a quarterly basis.
At the meeting, the focus was on key projects such as ▲Implementation of Sunlight and Wind Basic Income ▲Establishment of a Future Education Foundation ▲Development of Experience and Stay-type Tourist Attractions ▲Creation of Park Golf Courses by Region ▲Establishment of a Health and Welfare Convergence Cluster ▲Installation of Yeonggwang-style Kids Cafes.
For certain projects that require adjustments due to unavoidable reasons, the county plans to change the objectives to projects that preserve the intent of the pledges after deliberation by a citizen jury, and to respond promptly to fulfill the pledges.
Governor Jang emphasized, "Pledge projects are not just administrative tasks but promises to the residents. We must accelerate the pace of implementation and focus on delivering tangible results that all staff and residents can relate to through cooperation."
In addition, Governor Jang will personally visit the sites of pledge projects once a month for direct inspection and will install a pledge implementation status board in the governor's office to monitor progress in real time.
In particular, Yeonggwang County plans to open a Manifesto section on its website, providing implementation plans, progress rates, annual roadmaps, pledge budgets, and a space for submitting opinions on each pledge, so that residents can check the status of pledge implementation and participate directly.
