Gyeonggi-do Health and Environment Research Institute, Odor Survey in Osan Nueup-dong Industrial Area
The Gyeonggi-do Institute of Health and Environment Research will conduct an odor status survey targeting the general industrial area in Nueup-dong, Osan-si, Gyeonggi-do.
The odor status survey is a project that periodically investigates the concentration of designated odor substances and the degree of odor in odor management areas.
Since the Osan-si Nueup-dong industrial complex was designated as an odor management area in 2011, surveys have been conducted annually.
This survey will be conducted for about seven months from March 24 to October 31, targeting a total of 28 points including the boundaries of business sites and surrounding air quality.
Periods with a high likelihood of continuous odor damage are selected semiannually, and measurements are taken more than twice, three times each (dawn, daytime, nighttime).
The survey items include a total of 23 substances, including complex odors and 22 designated odor substances such as ammonia.
In addition to the odor status survey, the provincial Institute of Health and Environment Research will conduct additional investigations targeting areas with repeated odor complaints within the province.
