In particular, after signing a business agreement last November to promote tourism in areas with declining populations, the branch has significantly contributed to attracting tourists to Ulleung County by offering a 50% discount on train fares for the Ulleungdo Railship round-trip package as part of the "Local Love Railway Travel" project.
Won Hyungmin, head of the KORAIL Daegu Branch, said, "Revitalizing local tourism through railways is one of KORAIL's important social roles," and added, "We will continue to strengthen our cooperation with Ulleung County and do our best for sustainable local tourism development."
