On the 25th, Seongsan-gu of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, announced that it had completed the tree maintenance project at Banji Eoullim Sports Ground, the replacement of security lights, and the repainting of the stands at Namyang Open Sports Ground as part of a community-focused initiative for thorough management of public sports facilities.

View original imageAccordingly, Seongsan-gu Mayor Choi Youngsook completed the environmental improvement projects at Banji Eoullim Sports Ground and Namyang Open Sports Ground as initiatives that residents can directly experience, and conducted on-site inspections.
The tree maintenance project at Banji Eoullim Sports Ground was carried out as a 2025 resident participatory budget project, aiming to enhance the urban landscape by maintaining the trees surrounding the sports ground and to prevent drainage blockages caused by fallen leaves during the rainy season.
At Namyang Open Sports Ground, 16 old security lights were replaced with energy-saving LED security lights, and the old stands were repainted and repaired, providing residents with a cleaner and safer space for recreational sports activities.
Choi Youngsook, Mayor of Seongsan-gu, said, "I hope everyone can enjoy their leisure time in a safer and more pleasant environment through these community-focused environmental improvement projects," and added, "We will continue to listen to the voices of Seongsan-gu residents and continuously address inconveniences in daily life."
