Enjoy Spring with Sansuyu Flowers... 'Icheon Baeksa Sansuyu Flower Festival' Opens on the 28th
The representative spring festival of Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, the 'Icheon Baeksa Sansuyu Flower Festival,' will be held from the 28th to the 30th.
Now in its 26th year, this festival takes place in the Sansuyu cluster areas of Baeksa-myeon, Gyeongsari, Dorip-ri, and Songmalli in Icheon-si. This year, the city explained that due to cold weather and frequent snowfall, the blooming period of the Sansuyu flowers was delayed by about a week compared to previous years, leading to an adjustment in the festival schedule.
The festival will begin with an opening ceremony at 2 p.m. on the 28th and will feature various events including spring flower viewing, hands-on experiences, performances, and exhibitions. The event also includes upcycling experience programs to promote carbon neutrality and a Sansuyu trail plogging (trash picking) event.
