Yeongju Holds First Quarter Integrated Defense Council Meeting... Strengthening Regional Defense Posture
Reviewing the Integrated Cooperation System

Yeongju City, Gyeongbuk Province, held the '2025 First Quarter Integrated Defense Council' on the 25th in the City Hall's Meeting Room 1.
The meeting was attended by 17 members, including Acting Mayor Lee Jaehoon, who served as the chair, Kim Byunggi, Chair of the Yeongju City Council, and Lee Sanghak, Commander of the 3rd Battalion of the 3260th Unit. They reviewed the regional integrated defense system and discussed matters of cooperation.
The agenda included reports on key military activities and preparations for Hwarang Training, discussions on issues related to the improvement of reserve forces facilities, deliberations on cooperation for regional integrated defense, and sharing of major current projects and requests for inter-agency cooperation.
The Yeongju City Integrated Defense Council consists of 23 members from the civil, government, military, police, and fire departments. In the event of a national crisis, it establishes a cooperative system to protect local residents and strengthen integrated defense capabilities.
The council holds regular quarterly meetings to maintain close cooperation among related agencies and contributes to establishing a practical regional security posture.

Acting Mayor Lee Jaehoon stated, "With the recent rise in international conflicts and increasing provocations from North Korea, establishing a regional defense posture has become an even more important task. Even in times of crisis, we will continue to strengthen our integrated defense capabilities so that each agency can work organically together to protect the lives and safety of our citizens."
