Jeollanam-do Unique Venues are locations with distinctive charm that can only be experienced in the region, apart from typical MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions) venues such as hotel convention centers. With the addition of the six newly selected venues, Jeollanam-do has now designated and operates a total of 23 unique venues.
Haedong Cultural Art Village, since its opening in 2019, has become a representative multi-cultural facility based on visual and performing arts activities, featuring both professionalism and regional characteristics. As the space is a remodeled version of the former Haedong Brewery, it hosts events utilizing local traditional liquors and plays a significant role in revitalizing local cultural tourism and establishing the brand of 'Cultural City Damyang' through performances, events, and workshops that utilize local resources and seminar facilities.
Dambit Art Warehouse is a multi-cultural space that preserves the red brick walls of an old grain storage warehouse from the 1970s, creating an exhibition area that enhances the appeal of contemporary art. It has attracted attention from many artists and art enthusiasts. In 2020, a new annex was added, further increasing its utility by providing additional exhibition spaces, a terrace-style rest area, and meeting rooms.
Acting County Governor Jeong Gwangseon stated, "We will actively promote the activation of Damyang's unique venues and provide support to help attract more domestic and international tourists through seminars and other events."
