Seongnam City Supports Participation Fees for Overseas Branch and Logistics Network Projects for SMEs
Support for Approximately 15 Companies
Contributing to Export Growth Through Overseas Market Expansion
Up to 2 Million KRW Support Per Company
Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Shin Sang-jin) announced on the 25th that it will implement the 2025 Overseas Branch Establishment and Logistics Network Support Project to help local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) without trade offices or logistics centers overseas expand internationally.
This project targets SMEs with export performance of less than 10 million USD (approximately 14.5 billion KRW) in the previous year and that have their headquarters or factories located in Seongnam City. It supports companies without their own overseas branches or logistics centers to utilize the trade offices and logistics centers of partner organizations such as △Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) △Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) △World-OKTA (World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Associations) as if they were local branches.
The Overseas Branch Establishment Project allows the trade offices of partner organizations to act as the companies’ overseas branches, assisting with new market development, client discovery, market research, and various other overseas sales channel expansion activities.
The Logistics Network Project enables joint use of warehouses operated by local partner logistics companies affiliated with KOTRA, providing customized services such as customs clearance, storage, delivery, returns, and logistics consulting to support the establishment of a sustainable transaction base in overseas markets.
Participating companies can receive support covering 50% of the participation fee for the Overseas Branch Establishment and Logistics Network projects, up to a maximum of 2 million KRW per company, with approximately 15 companies targeted for support. The project will be conducted year-round until the budget is exhausted.
Details on how to apply and required submission documents for the Overseas Branch Establishment and Logistics Network Support Project can be found on the Seongnam City website. Companies wishing to apply can submit their applications by mail or visit the Corporate Innovation Division on the 8th floor of City Hall.
