Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that it will continue to promote the 'Seoul-type Postpartum Care Expense Support Project' to reduce the financial burden on families with newborns and help mothers recover healthily.
Started in July 2023, the project has contributed to the stability of mothers and their families' lives and has received great responses from residents. So far, 3,443 mothers have benefited.
In particular, since last year, the residency requirement of more than six months has been abolished to expand the support target. Mothers residing in Yeongdeungpo-gu as of the application date and whose child's birth is registered in Seoul can apply.
A voucher worth 1 million KRW per newborn is provided, with 2 million KRW for twins and 3 million KRW for triplets in the case of multiple births.
The voucher can be used for the 'Mother and Newborn Health Care Service,' where health care workers visit homes to assist with postpartum care, and the 'Postpartum Care Expense Service,' which covers purchases of health foods and postpartum exercise classes. The usage period is one year from the child's birth date.
Applications can be made within 60 days from the date of birth, either online through the 'Seoul Mom Care' website or by visiting the local community service center in the resident's district.
