Which Products from Two Busan Companies Were Selected as 'Innovative Products' by the Public Procurement Service?
First Round of Innovative Product Designation This Year, Negotiated Contract Benefits
MNH Technology's Rubber Fender and Dongjin Engineering's Debris Processor
This year, two products from companies in the Busan region were selected among the innovative products designated by the Public Procurement Service. Innovative products receive support benefits such as negotiated contracts and market access assistance.
The Busan Regional Public Procurement Service announced on the 24th that two companies from the Busan area were included in the first round of innovative product designation reviews for 2025.
The selected products are: ▲MNH Technology's "Vertically Expandable Sliding Insect Screen (Rubber Fender)" and ▲Dongjin Engineering's "Carbon-Neutral High-Efficiency Solid Removal Device (Debris Processor)."
A rubber fender is a facility that cushions the impact between ships and docking facilities, while a debris processor is a device that removes various solids mixed in wastewater at sewage treatment plants and similar facilities.
The innovative product designation system allows the public sector to become the first purchaser of innovative products, evaluating prototypes before commercialization. This system aims to promote technological advancement for companies and provide high-quality public services for institutions.
Once designated as an innovative product, companies receive support for up to six years through negotiated contracts, implementation of purchase targets, and purchase liability exemptions. Additionally, support is expanded from unit price contracts and pilot purchases to overseas demonstrations, further promoting exports.
