Samsung E&A Signs 500 Billion KRW Contract with German Company for Songdo Bio Raw Material Plant
Samsung E&A announced on the 24th that it has secured a contract worth 518.6 billion KRW for the construction of a raw material plant for bio in Songdo.
This plant is a production and research facility for raw materials of bio pharmaceuticals to be built in the Incheon Songdo Free Economic Zone.
The contract partner is Sartorius Korea Operations, the Korean branch of the global life sciences company Sartorius from Germany.
Upon completion, the plant will produce single-use bags for biopharmaceutical production, pharmaceutical membrane filters, and cell culture media, and provide Contract Research Organization (CRO) services for preclinical clinical trials.

Samsung E&A will independently handle equipment procurement and construction, aiming to complete the plant by 2027.
