Yeongam County Selected for Jeonnam Cultural Content Industry Support Project for Three Consecutive Years
Development of Digital Content with Resident Participation by October
Yeongam County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Woo Seunghee) has been selected for the third consecutive year in the '2025 Jeonnam Cultural Content Industry Support Project' organized by the Jeonnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency.
According to the county on the 24th, this project supports efforts to develop content utilizing and linking the region's specialized materials, and the call for applications was divided into web content and spatial content fields, with two projects recruited for each category.
Among these, Yeongam County was finally selected in the web content field, with a support scale of 100 million KRW. With support from previous years, the county produced the 2023 Instagram webtoon 'Yeongame Sal-eorillatda' and the 2024 generative AI animation 'Geumma Prince and the Wolchulsan Lady,' promoting these two local contents online.
Following the selection, the county plans to sign a business agreement with the Promotion Agency on the 28th, and after a detailed planning process with the implementing company, develop digital content with resident participation by October.
Lee Youngju, Director of the Public Relations Strategy Office, said, "We will create content that combines fun and meaning with resident participation, utilizing local resources," and added, "We hope for interest and participation from many people both inside and outside the region in producing content that resonates widely."
