Four Couples Tie the Knot... Daesun Brewery Supports Group Wedding for Severely Disabled in Busan

A Total of 62 Couples Receive Warmth
Busan-based local company Daesun Distilling Co., Ltd. has joined in celebrating the future of local couples with severe disabilities for the 12th consecutive year.
Daesun Distilling (CEO Choi Hongseong) announced on the 24th that it sponsored the 36th Busan Joint Wedding Ceremony for People with Severe Disabilities, held at the small theater of the Busan Citizens’ Hall on the 21st.
The “Busan Joint Wedding Ceremony for People with Severe Disabilities” is an event organized by the Busan Association for the Disabled to provide wedding ceremonies for people with severe disabilities who are unable to afford one due to financial difficulties. Since its inception in 1987 with 15 couples, a total of 214 couples have been married through this event, and Daesun Distilling has supported the weddings of 62 couples from 2014 to this year.

View original imageAt the event, Daesun Distilling’s Director Choi Seonguk delivered a sponsorship donation, and Kim Hae Branch Manager Jo Jiyeong received a commendation from the Mayor of Busan for contributions to the advancement of welfare for people with disabilities.
On this day, four couples received blessings and tied the knot.
They said, “We are grateful to Daesun Distilling and the Busan Association for the Disabled for organizing this meaningful event. We will cherish and love each other as we move forward together.”
Choi Hongseong, CEO of Daesun Distilling, said, “I hope that the four couples, united by deep trust and love for each other, will always be filled with happiness and laughter in their future together. As a representative local company of Busan, we will continue to take the lead in advancing the welfare of people with severe disabilities in the region.”

In addition to supporting the joint wedding ceremony for people with severe disabilities, Daesun Distilling has also spread positive influence in the local community by sponsoring scholarships for children of members of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association Busan Branch for eight consecutive years, supporting the ChildFund Korea, and supporting the Korean Red Cross.
