Daejeon City to Provide Health Checkup Subsidies for Small Business Owners... Up to 300,000 Won Per Person
Online Applications Accepted from the 24th to April 4th
600 Participants to Be Selected
Daejeon City announced that, following its matchmaking program for single small business owners, it will officially launch a health check-up support project.
The city stated that KB Financial Group donated 1 billion KRW last November through an agreement, and is currently promoting six projects: ▲health check-up support for small business owners ▲substitute workforce support for those on parental leave ▲childcare support ▲matchmaking support ▲infertility treatment cost support ▲postnatal health management support.
Accordingly, the health check-up support project provides up to 300,000 KRW per person for small business owners. Selected participants can receive check-ups at designated partner centers without additional cost until September 13 of this year. Daejeon City will pay the check-up fees directly to the medical institutions.
The city will support check-up costs for a total of 120 items, including lung cancer screening, targeting small business owners who are vulnerable to health management due to long working hours.
Applications will be accepted online from the 24th to April 4th. Eligible applicants are small business owners who have lived in Daejeon and operated a business in Daejeon before December 31, 2023, with annual sales less than 50 million KRW in the previous year.
After an eligibility review, 120 people from each district will be selected, totaling 600 participants, with priority given to those with lower annual sales.
Kwon Kyungmin, Director of Economic Affairs for Daejeon City, said, "We hope that this project will provide small business owners, who support the local economy despite challenging circumstances, with an opportunity to take care of their health and recharge."
