Jungnang-gu Conducts Safety Inspections on 214 Vulnerable Facilities During Thawing Season
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) will conduct safety inspections on 214 vulnerable facilities until the 28th to prevent accidents during the thawing season.
During the thawing season, moisture in the ground melts, increasing the likelihood of ground subsidence or cracks. Accordingly, the district plans to thoroughly prepare for accident risks by conducting sector-specific inspections considering the characteristics of each facility type to check for cracks, subsidence, and overall management status.
The inspection targets include ▲ 84 sites such as steep slopes and retaining walls ▲ 8 construction sites ▲ 111 road slopes and disaster-vulnerable facilities ▲ 3 type-3 facilities ▲ 7 road facilities ▲ and 1 cultural asset. The focus will be on checking for abnormalities in protective facilities such as drainage systems and rockfall prevention measures, ground subsidence, and risks of cracks or collapse on steep slopes.
In particular, at construction sites, the safety of temporary earth-retaining structures and scaffolding (temporary structures installed to enable work at heights) will be inspected, and if pavement damage or ground subsidence is found in road facilities, prompt repairs will be carried out.
