Suwon City Operates '24-Hour Rapid Response Team' for Potholes... Until the End of March
The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is operating a "Pothole 24-Hour Rapid Response Team" during the thawing season when potholes frequently occur.
The Pothole 24-Hour Rapid Response Team patrols the roads and takes safety measures immediately upon discovering potholes, and repairs them within 24 hours of receiving a report. The team consists of 104 members across 5 divisions from the city and districts, responsible for maintaining 951 km of roads in Suwon.

View original imageDuring the operation period of the rapid response team, road patrols will be intensified and a 24-hour response system will be activated, including establishing an emergency contact network. The city is continuously monitoring roads in cooperation with bus and taxi drivers.
Suwon City is operating an "Intensive Road Inspection Period" until the 31st of this month. Inspection teams composed of 5 divisions will strengthen road patrols together with the Pothole 24-Hour Rapid Response Team. To prevent ground subsidence accidents, roads will be surveyed using GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar).

A Suwon city official stated, "To prevent accidents caused by potholes, we will continuously patrol the roads and promptly repair any potholes found," and urged, "Please report any potholes you discover on the roads immediately."
