Fire in Car at Pyeongchang-dong Jeongneung Tunnel, Extinguished After 1 Hour
At around 1:35 PM on the 23rd, a fire broke out in a recycling collection truck passing through the Jeongneung Tunnel in Pyeongchang-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, temporarily causing traffic to be halted. The fire department completely extinguished the fire at around 2:33 PM, about an hour later.

The driver of the vehicle where the fire started evacuated the scene, and there were no injuries. The police controlled traffic in both directions at the entrance section of the Jeongneung Tunnel on the Internal Circulation Road but resumed traffic at around 3:07 PM. The fire department is investigating the cause of the fire.
