90% of Wildfire in Hallim-myeon, Gimhae Contained ... Full-Scale Efforts to Extinguish Remaining Flames

View original imageAs of 1:00 p.m. on the 23rd, about 90% of the wildfire that broke out at 2:03 p.m. on the 22nd in Hallim-myeon, Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam, has been extinguished.
Twelve firefighting helicopters, 524 personnel, and 40 firefighting vehicles have been deployed to the site to focus on extinguishing the fire.
The wildfire has affected an area of about 90 hectares, with approximately 0.5 kilometers remaining out of the total 5 kilometers of the fire's length.
Residents from 98 households, totaling 148 people in nearby villages, have evacuated to Sannajeon Village Hall and Hanajeon Village Hall.
