Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office Presents Order of Merit for National Foundation to Family of the Late Independence Activist Jeon Giseo
The Busan Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs (Director Namil Lee) presented the Order of Merit for National Foundation to Jeon Sungoo, the granddaughter of the late independence activist Jeon Giseo, on the 21st.

View original imageThe late independence activist Jeon Giseo joined the militia led by Kim Heungseo in the areas of Muju-gun, Jeonbuk, and Yeongdong-gun, Chungbuk from August to November 1909 (lunar calendar), where he raised military funds. He was arrested and sentenced to 10 years in prison, serving his sentence.
Namil Lee, Director of the Busan Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, stated, "We will do our utmost to honor independence activists and their families and to promote the achievements of those who contributed to Korea's independence."
