Yangsan City Holds Entrance Ceremony for 11th First Leader Yangsan Humanities Course
Yangsan City in Gyeongnam held the entrance ceremony for the 11th class of the 'First Leader Yangsan Humanities Course' for 2025 at the Hongik Hall of the Lifelong Education Center at Youngsan University on the 18th.

View original imageThe entrance ceremony was attended by Mayor Na Dongyeon, City Council Chair Kwak Jongpo, city council members, school and alumni association officials, and about 80 new students.
The First Leader Yangsan Humanities Course, now in its 11th year, is a program designed to foster local leaders. It targets 35 Yangsan citizens and runs from March to November for nine months, with weekly Tuesday lectures on humanities fundamentals, history, and various humanities-related topics, as well as field trips to cultural heritage sites for hands-on experiences in history and the humanities.
Since its launch in 2015, the First Leader Yangsan Humanities Course has produced more than 300 graduates, playing a key role in expanding civic participation and contributing to the development of the local community as a leader in lifelong education for Yangsan citizens.
