Uljugun Launches 'Single-Use Items ZERO Day' at Government Office
Ulsan Ulju County announced on the 21st that it will operate a "Disposable ZERO Day" on the third Wednesday of every month at the county office building to reduce the use of disposable products.
In order to reduce the use of disposable products and promote the use of reusable containers, Ulju County has installed and is operating a tumbler washer at the cafe on the second floor of the county office, allowing employees to wash and sterilize their tumblers.
Additionally, the cafe offers discounts for those who use tumblers and has introduced the Bandeuri app, which allows users to earn carbon neutrality practice points, providing various benefits to tumbler users.
On the third Wednesday of every month, employees are encouraged to refrain from using disposable products when bringing in delivered food. In the private sector, the county plans to recruit businesses willing to voluntarily participate in the use of reusable containers and promote the Bandeuri app to further reduce disposable product usage.
