The "Promising SMEs Support Project in the Companion Animal Industry" is a project that discovers and supports the growth of companion animal-related SMEs in Gyeonggi Province through customized commercialization support. This year, a total of 48 companies will be supported in the commercialization sector and market development sector (online marketing and exhibition participation).

The recruitment fields this time are ▲ commercialization sector (new design development, mold/mock-up prototype production / 8 companies) and ▲ market development sector (online marketing field / 20 companies). Applications can be submitted online through the Gyeonggi Business Secretary from March 17 to April 7.

The support targets are SMEs engaged in manufacturing or knowledge-based service industries related to companion animal products with more than three years of business experience and having headquarters or factories located in Gyeonggi Province.

In particular, the newly launched market development-online marketing sector this year will be conducted in the form of a joint pavilion through online media, providing participating companies with opportunities to enter online special exhibitions and promotional support. Additionally, discount coupons applicable to the exhibited products will also be provided. This is expected to greatly help companion animal-related companies expand their online sales channels.

Gyeonggi Province and Gyeonggawon plan to provide follow-up support such as offering opportunities for product exhibition or on-site promotion at Gyeonggi Province’s companion animal-related events and the companion animal theme park "Banryeomaru" located in Yeoju and Hwaseong to SMEs that have completed the support program.

Byun Hee-jung, head of the Companion Animal Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, “By actively reflecting the opinions of companies, this year we plan to focus support on sectors with high demand and satisfaction from companies,” adding, “We expect this project to enhance the effectiveness of company support and further promote the growth of the companion animal industry.”
