Gyeonggi Province Requests 'Yeoyajeong Cooperation Committee' Meeting to Provincial Assembly for Livelihood Economy Recovery
On the 20th, Gyeonggi Province officially requested the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly to hold the Yeoyajeong Cooperation Committee meeting.
Gyeonggi Province announced that on the same day, Heo Seung-beom, Director of the Planning and Coordination Office of the province, visited Kim Jin-kyung, Speaker of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly, to explain the necessity of holding the Yeoyajeong Cooperation Committee meeting and requested the assembly's cooperation.
Earlier, on the 19th, Gyeonggi Province sent an official letter to the assembly requesting the convening of the Yeoyajeong Cooperation Committee.
The request from Gyeonggi Province is to hold the Yeoyajeong Cooperation Committee meeting so that the executive branch and the provincial assembly can jointly discuss the plan to hold a one-point extraordinary session for the first half of 2025 supplementary budget and the handling of livelihood-related agenda items, thereby addressing urgent livelihood issues.
Through the supplementary budget for the first half of this year, Gyeonggi Province hopes to play a catalyst role in recovering the stagnant livelihood economy, and expects that projects directly related to people's lives, such as the ‘K-Culture Valley Complex Development Project Land and Arena Structure GH In-Kind Investment Agreement’ and the ‘GH Gwanggyo A17 Block Public Housing Project New Investment Promotion Agreement,’ will proceed smoothly onto the main track.

The Yeoyajeong Cooperation Committee is a representative communication and cooperation body of the 8th elected term, formed by Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly to resolve major provincial administration and livelihood issues. Participants include the Governor, the Speaker of the Provincial Assembly, the Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs, and representatives of negotiation groups.
