Kibo Recommends Companies, KOTRA Provides Global Advancement Programs
Support Also Offered for Participation in Vivatech IR Events
The Korea Technology Finance Corporation announced on the 20th that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) to support the overseas expansion of Baby Unicorn selected companies.
This agreement was established to support Baby Unicorn companies in pioneering overseas markets and to strengthen their global competitiveness by utilizing the core competencies and support infrastructure possessed by both organizations.
When Kibo recommends Baby Unicorn companies, KOTRA selects 20 companies with high potential for overseas expansion and supports them with an overseas expansion program for six months. The selected companies receive various customized support through KOTRA's overseas startup trade centers, including ▲overseas tailored market research ▲discovery of overseas partners ▲overseas technology verification ▲support for overseas personnel recruitment ▲export consulting.
KOTRA currently operates 131 overseas trade centers and has startup trade centers in 16 regions with high domestic company expansion demand, such as Silicon Valley, Paris, and Singapore. Kibo plans to actively utilize this network to systematically support domestic startups' entry into the global market.
Both organizations will also support Baby Unicorn companies' participation in overseas IR events in connection with Vivatech, Europe's largest startup exhibition, held in Paris, France, this coming June. About 10 companies will be selected to receive support for Vivatech participation fees and be provided with IR pitching opportunities targeting overseas investors.
