View original imageOn the 19th, Asan City in South Chungcheong Province announced that it had visited the offices of local National Assembly members Kang Hoon-sik and Bok Gi-wang of the Democratic Party of Korea to request support for securing national funds.
Acting Mayor Jo Ilgyo and city officials visited the lawmakers the previous day, explained key projects, and requested government funding.
The main proposed projects include: ▲ Construction of a police hospital ▲ Support for the expansion of international cooperation and demonstration of AI-based sleep tech ▲ Establishment of a new integrated PRC processing facility ▲ Construction of a road connecting the original downtown area of Dunpo ▲ Creation of an open tourist destination in 2026, among others.
Acting Mayor Jo stated, "We hope that our city's major pending issues will be reflected in central government policy," and added, "We will continue to work closely with local National Assembly members to do our utmost to secure government funding."
