Dangjin City Council Opens 118th Extraordinary Session... Handles 28 Agenda Items Including Ordinance Bills
Appointment of the 2024 Fiscal Year Settlement Audit Committee Members
The Dangjin City Council in Chungnam has begun its official legislative activities by holding the 118th extraordinary session for four days from the 18th to the 21st.
During this session, the council plans to handle a total of 28 agenda items, including ordinance bills and consent bills, and to address municipal issues through five-minute free speeches.
The extraordinary session will start with the first plenary meeting on the 18th, followed by two days of agenda reviews by each standing committee on the 19th and 20th, and will conclude with the second plenary meeting on the 21st.
At the first plenary meeting, the council passed the "Appointment of the 2024 Fiscal Year Settlement Audit Committee Members" and appointed nine audit committee members.
Kim Myungjin was appointed as the chief committee member, along with Yoon Myungsoo, Jeon Youngok, and other members with expertise and experience in financial management, such as certified tax accountants. The appointment ceremony will be held on the 21st.
Chairman Seo Younghoon stated, "In a situation where economic uncertainty is increasing, one of the key roles of the local council is to safeguard the stable daily lives of citizens," and added, "We will thoroughly review the ordinances and policies to be discussed during this extraordinary session to ensure they provide practical help to the citizens."
