Gokseong County Seeks This Year's "Good Price" Businesses
Applications Accepted Year-Round at Town and Township Offices Starting from the 18th
Annual Incentives Worth 850,000 KRW Provided
Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Jo Sangrae) will begin recruiting new Good Price Businesses starting from the 18th, offering clean services at lower prices compared to surrounding commercial districts.
Good Price Businesses refer to outstanding establishments loved by consumers for their affordable prices, clean operations, and friendly service. The county plans to expand the designation to 22 Good Price Businesses this year.
The selection criteria require that at least one item must be sold at a price lower than the average in the nearby commercial district. In addition, the business must score at least 40 points in a comprehensive evaluation covering store and restroom hygiene and cleanliness.
Businesses designated as Good Price Businesses will receive annual support worth 850,000 KRW per establishment, including the purchase of consumables and volume-based waste bags. The county also plans to operate a "Good Price Business Usage Week" at least twice a year for intensive promotion.
Business owners wishing to apply may do so at any time throughout the year at their local town or township office. Businesses recommended through the Good Price Business website may also be designated. Selection will be determined through on-site evaluations and eligibility reviews.
Governor Jo Sangrae stated, "Despite the rapid economic downturn, we plan to designate small business owners striving for price stability as Good Price Businesses, actively promote them so that many people can use them, and provide tangible benefits. We ask for the interest and recommendations of both business owners and local residents."
