The 3rd Seoul Arts Awards Ceremony to be Held on the 19th at the National Theater
The award ceremony for the '3rd Seoul Arts Awards,' hosted and organized by the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, will be held on the 19th at 3 PM at the National Theater of Korea's Haneul Theater.
The Seoul Arts Awards is a prize system that carefully selects outstanding works through on-site evaluations and additional verification processes such as judging, targeting works selected from the foundation's representative project, the Arts Creation Support Project. The award categories cover six fields: theater, dance, music, traditional arts, visual arts, and multi-disciplinary arts. Six works are selected as grand prize winners in each category, each receiving 15 million KRW, and one work is finally selected from the grand prize winners as the grand award recipient, receiving 20 million KRW.
The Porsche Frontier Award, which selects promising artists' works that demonstrate both artistic quality and new attempts with potential for development, is sponsored by Porsche Korea and awards six works by genre, each receiving 10 million KRW.
Additionally, the Jury Special Award category selects four outstanding works that were not supported by the foundation but were presented in Seoul over the past year, awarding 5 million KRW each. In the category for artists with disabilities, 5 million KRW is awarded to artists who have actively contributed to the expansion and development of the disability arts community over the past 2-3 years. The total prize money amounts to 180 million KRW.

(Music, Kim Hyojong) ▲ Gayageum's 巫(Mu) Sensory Transformation (Traditional, Park Seyon) ▲ Seoul at 3 PM (Visual, Lee Eunju) ▲ Theater Artist Kim Jisoo, among others, were selected. The grand award winner will be announced on-site during the ceremony.
