Muan County Offers Various Programs at 'Mulmaji Healing Forest'
Opportunities for Healing and Recovery in a Nature-Friendly Space
Muan County in Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) will officially operate the 'Muan Mulmaji Healing Forest' program from the 20th of this month until December 19.
According to the county on the 18th, this year's healing program will not only include the existing programs that help the general public recover physically and mentally, but also introduce a specialized program for the bereaved families and related personnel of the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster.
The Muan Mulmaji Healing Forest offers a variety of programs in a nature-friendly space where dense forests and waterfalls harmonize, such as forest walking, singing bowl meditation, aroma massage, healing yoga, and natural therapy.
Additionally, customized programs for each group will be offered free of charge until this year, including: Forest & Feeling for youth and families; Forest & Refresh for office workers and the general public; Forest & Walking for the general public and the elderly; Forest & Healing indoors on rainy days; and Forest & Relaxing for those affected by the passenger plane disaster.
In particular, the Forest & Relaxing program is conducted as both a one-day and a three-session course, aiming to help overcome post-traumatic stress disorder related to the passenger plane disaster by promoting relaxation through continuous contact with nature.
Furthermore, the healing program has been shown to reduce participants' stress hormones by an average of 28% and improve immunity by 15%, and is expected to greatly contribute to the mental health of modern people.
Governor Kim San said, "I hope that those who have experienced great loss and shock due to the sudden accident can relieve some of their emotional burden and be helped to return to their daily lives through healing time in nature."
Meanwhile, for more information or to apply for the Mulmaji Healing Program, please visit the Muan County website, Naver Place (Muan Mulmaji Healing Forest), or contact by phone.
