Busan Gijang-gun to Provide 'Agri-food Voucher' Support for Vulnerable Groups
Vouchers for Seven Categories Including Vegetables, Fruits, and Meat Provided Until December
Gijang-gun, Busan will implement the '2025 Agricultural Food Voucher Program' for vulnerable groups starting in March.
This program was launched to address nutritional imbalances among vulnerable populations and to expand the foundation for sustainable agricultural food consumption. Vouchers (cards) for purchasing fresh agricultural products will be provided to households receiving basic livelihood benefits with an income at or below 32% of the median income, specifically those with pregnant women, infants, or children under the age of 18.
The support period lasts for 10 months, from March to December. Applications can be submitted by visiting the local Eup or Myeon Administrative Welfare Center according to one's resident registration address, or through online and phone channels.
The amount of support varies depending on the number of household members, ranging from 40,000 KRW per month for single-person households to 100,000 KRW per month for four-person households, and is provided from the month of application.
The issued agricultural food voucher card can be used to purchase seven designated categories of domestic products, including vegetables, fruits, meat, and fresh eggs, at designated offline stores such as supermarkets, convenience stores, and local food shops, as well as online stores like Nonghyup Mall.
