View original imageThe Regional Development Research Institute at Chonnam National University (Director: Bae Jeonghwan) announced on the 18th that it recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Science and Technology Knowledge Research Institute at Chungnam National University (Director: Ahn Kidon) to strengthen cooperation in regional development and innovation aimed at preventing local extinction.
This agreement aims to establish a cooperative system for building an effective regional innovation system and developing policies to address the crisis of local extinction. The two institutions have agreed to collaborate in the following areas: ▲ deriving cooperation models between institutions to overcome local extinction ▲ operating forums to establish practical cooperation systems ▲ developing and implementing business-centered cooperation system models ▲ developing and implementing content to expand the role of universities in solving regional issues.
Through this agreement, the combined research capabilities and technologies of the Regional Development Research Institute at Chonnam National University and the Science and Technology Knowledge Research Institute at Chungnam National University are expected to create a strong synergy effect. In particular, by utilizing the accumulated research data of both institutions, they plan to develop effective policies to address local extinction, and share them with local governments and related organizations to present practical policy alternatives.
A representative from the Regional Development Research Institute at Chonnam National University stated, "With this agreement, we will further strengthen cooperation with academia, local governments, and industries, and expand research activities for sustainable regional development and balanced national growth."
