The 2025 Goyang Special City Taekwondo Demonstration Team (1 director, 2 coaches, 55 athletes) is actively engaging both domestically and internationally, leading as cultural ambassadors of Taekwondo.

View original imageGoyang Special City announced on the 18th that the Goyang Special City Taekwondo Demonstration Team will perform cultural shows at the Goyang International Flower Festival (April 25 to May 11) and the 10th General Assembly of the United Cities and Local Governments Asia-Pacific Section (UCLG ASPAC) (September 24 to September 26) as representatives of the region's cultural ambassadors.
Founded in 2009, the Goyang Special City Taekwondo Demonstration Team aims for cultural exchange and regional community development through Taekwondo, showcasing outstanding performances at various domestic and international events to widely promote the excellence of Taekwondo.
In particular, the team receives great acclaim from audiences with dazzling techniques and creative performances at major annual events and various competitions held in Goyang Special City.
Over the past few years, the demonstration team has continued activities not only domestically but also overseas. Through invited performances at international Taekwondo competitions, cultural exchange events, and collaborations with Taekwondo masters and athletes from various Asian countries, they have contributed to widely promoting Taekwondo, Korea’s traditional martial art.
