Gyeonggi Province is launching a support project for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups to develop artificial intelligence (AI) and data utilization business models and to advance their services.
On the 18th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will recruit companies to participate in the '2025 Data Industry Promotion Support' project until April 7.
This project is being promoted to foster AI- and data-based innovative services and to enhance companies' competitiveness in data utilization.
In particular, this year, the focus is on supporting the establishment of data business models using AI technology, and customized consulting will be provided to help companies effectively utilize the data they collect, analyze, and process.
This year, the support scale includes a total of six free-topic data utilization projects, with up to 30 million KRW per project. Companies can undertake projects independently or participate by forming a consortium. Selected companies can use the support funds for expenses such as data purchase and collection, data processing and analysis, and intellectual property acquisition.
The support targets SMEs and startups with headquarters or research institutes located in the province.
Companies wishing to participate can check the announcement on the Gyeonggi Business Secretary website (egbiz.or.kr) and apply online by April 7. Afterward, final support companies will be selected through document and presentation evaluations.
