Governor Cho met with Ha Jongmok, Director General of Local Finance at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, to explain the difficulties in local fiscal management caused by the decrease in general grants. He also proposed projects such as the construction of an access road and dedicated parking lot for the Jukdong Jwado Nongak Training Center, requesting active support through special grants.
Additionally, in a meeting with Noh Hongseok, Director General of the Balanced Development Support Bureau, Governor Cho emphasized the connection between next year's application for the regional stay infrastructure project "Gohyang Olrae" (workation sector) and the county's ongoing project to attract resident population, which has been promoted with the Local Extinction Response Fund since 2022. He requested careful attention and cooperation.
Governor Cho stressed, "Securing national funding, including special grants, is absolutely necessary to ensure the smooth progress of key local projects," and added, "To realize a new Gokseong and an era of hopeful citizens, I will continue to visit the political sector, central government ministries, and Jeollanam-do to do my utmost in requesting budget support."
