The Namyangju Volunteer Center, a non-profit organization chaired by Joo Gwang-deok (hereinafter referred to as the Center), announced on the 17th that it held the inauguration ceremony for the 18th Pureum-i Family Volunteer Group on the 15th at the Center's 4th-floor auditorium.

View original imageThe inauguration ceremony was attended by Joo Gwang-deok, Mayor of Namyangju and Chairman of the Center, members of the Pureum-i Family Volunteer Group, and city officials. The event proceeded in the following order: introduction of the family volunteer group's history, presentation on child and family policies and the volunteer group, viewing of volunteer activity videos, and basic training on 1365 volunteer service.
Joo Gwang-deok, Mayor of Namyangju and Chairman, emphasized, "Through volunteer activities involving parents, children, and families together, we learn the values of sharing and volunteering, strengthen family bonds, and these values play an important role in spreading to the local community and neighbors."
He continued, "I hope this occasion becomes a precious memory for families and the first step toward a society where we live together," encouraging the volunteer group's activities.
Meanwhile, the Pureum-i Family Volunteer Group started with its first group in 2005 and has trained and produced a total of 275 families and over 800 volunteers up to 2022.

This year, 35 families totaling 118 members will participate and engage in various volunteer activities such as visiting welfare facilities, environmental cleanup, and campaigns every second Saturday of the month.
