Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jung Won-oh) operates the ‘Seongsu Bunge Store’ to enable local small business owners to sell products at affordable costs.
‘Seongsu Bunge Store’ is a project that supports sales and promotional spaces to help local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small business owners develop sales channels and revitalize the local economy. It is held at Theater SS within the ‘Seongsu Station Industrial Culture Complex Theme Space.’
The ‘Seongsu Station Industrial Culture Complex Theme Space’ is located at Seongsu Station on Subway Line 2 (2nd floor, Exit 4 direction). Seongsu-dong is a hot place with a large floating population, including young people and tourists, playing a central role in driving Seongdong-gu’s economy.
Seongsu-dong is a cultural space housing many trend-leading brands and is expected to grow rapidly and become more active like a lightning strike. The operation of the ‘Seongsu Bunge Store’ is anticipated to create great synergy effects such as increased brand awareness, acquisition of new customers, and sales growth for participating businesses.
The support targets primarily include SMEs and small business owners with business locations in Seongdong-gu. Artists, startup companies, and prospective entrepreneurs with addresses in Seongdong-gu can also receive support.
Participating businesses can sell and promote products up to five times a year, for periods ranging from 1 to 5 days per event. The participation fee is 50,000 KRW per day for sales events.
For small business owners, usage fees of up to 100,000 KRW per event, up to three times a year, are supported. Additionally, if the event is for exhibition or promotion only without sales, the usage fee is waived.
Last year, a total of 17 companies participated, and the district expects more companies to join this year to achieve substantial sales increases and promotional effects.
Businesses wishing to participate can fill out an application form and submit it along with supporting documents by visiting the Seongdong Regional Economic Innovation Center 3rd floor (22-11 Sangwon 6na-gil, Seongdong-gu) or by email. The application form can be found on the Seongdong-gu Office website under notices and announcements.
In addition, the district operates the ‘Seongsu Handmade Shoes Hope Platform’ near Ttukseom Station as a pop-up exhibition hall and showcase space. From 2017 to 2022, it was used as a handmade shoe exhibition space, but since 2023, it has been utilized as a product exhibition, promotion, and event space for SMEs, small business owners, and emerging artists in Seongdong-gu to promote local commercial revitalization.
