It evaluates the greenhouse gas emissions generated throughout the entire lifecycle of TV products?from manufacturing, transportation, usage, to disposal?based on international standards and grants Carbon Footprint certification. Products that have received Carbon Footprint certification and demonstrate reduced carbon emissions compared to previous models of the same class through continuous corporate efforts to reduce carbon emissions are awarded Carbon Reduction certification as well.
Samsung's premium lineup, including Neo QLED 8K and Neo QLED, has earned Carbon Reduction certification for five consecutive years. Additionally, the certification has expanded to include the entry-level QLED lineup, increasing the total number of certified models compared to last year (60 models).
Since obtaining the Carbon Reduction certification in 2021 with Neo QLED?the first TV with 4K or higher resolution to receive this certification?Samsung Electronics has been expanding the range and scale of certified products annually to include LED, Crystal UHD, Lifestyle TVs, OLED, monitors, and signage.
