Cheonan City FC U18 to Host Home Opener Against Jeju SK FC
Woo Jungyeon Leads Junior League After Overcoming Injury
The Cheonan City FC U18 team will play their K League Junior League home opener against Jeju SKFC at 2 p.m. on the 15th at Cheonan Football Center.
The team is now in its third year since its founding, and has shown steady growth, including reaching the semifinals at the Busan MBC National High School Football Tournament last February.
In that tournament, Woo Jungyeon narrowly missed out on the top scorer title by just one goal, showcasing outstanding performance. This season, the team plans to focus on the Junior League, centering around Woo, who has overcome injuries from last season.
Head coach Cho Seongyong stated, "Thanks to the active support from Cheonan Technical High School, the players were able to focus on training," and added, "We will do our best to help the players survive on bigger stages."
